Weekend Recap!

 

I can't believe how fast this weekend flew by! We had a whole lot scheduled this weekend...

On Saturday ALL 3 of us completed the UCSD Triton 5k, Aubriella did fantastic! She completed her first race:) The race was a total of 3.2 miles. Ryan ran with the stroller, so he was a little behind me in time, but over all I ran a 7:50 pace. (which is a personal record for me! woohoo!) My favorite way to spend family time-being active!

Weekend RECAP

We survived our weekend away from baby Brella. Well, 26 hours to be exact:) I can't tell you how AMAZING the resort was. We used every last amenity this fabulous place had to offer. The cool 109 degrees made for a little sweat at the pool, but my ice cold Vodka Tonic balanced me out. The room, the food, the service, the gondola ...I could go on and on, if you are in the Palm Springs area it's a MUST to stay at! OR, at least eat there...the tepan grill chef actually flings shrimp into your mouth, no fork required-sign me up!

 

Aside from all this fabulous-ness, I must say I am now apart of the 'I have been apart from my baby group!' Feels good and I can now check it off my list, because I wont be leaving Aubriella again for 10 years lol. Do you remember your first night away from your baby!? I feel like no one can do my job like I can ( even if my amazing parents were watching her )

 

That being said, for my OWN comfort I created a emergency and how to binder and packing system for Aubriella's overnight stay, which I will share on my next DIY post. For now, here are some happy pictures of this beautiful place, enjoy :)

Here comes excitement-followed by terror and anxiety!

hello. So, I had the BIGGEST surprise last night. My husband came home early (which is back-flip worthy) to surprise me with a mini get-away to Palm Desert next weekend! There was happiness and hugs and kisses-immediately followed with a HUGE question, is this a baby free get-away?
Needless to say, it is.....
Aubri is a little over 4 months, never having left my side from the moment she was born, can I handle two whole nights away!?  Holy Cow that's a long time!





Let's take a look at where we'll be staying and what we'll be doing with this NEW baby-free time we will be having, maybe it will ease my anxiety :)

I will have to do some major stress relief this week to prepare to leaving my precious baby girl for two days, but it looks like we have a lot of fun ahead of us! Wish me luck!
