DIY

Here she is, growing WAY too fast. This month I could barely get the picture taken because she wants to go go go! I guess the days of sitting my little baby down are over-forever lol

10 Months
Height: 27  inches ( I wrote it wrong on the chalkboard-mommy brain:))
Weight: 21 lbs
Head: 18.75 inches
Sleeping: FINALLY you are sleeping. We started "sleep training" you the night before Halloween, wouldn't recommend that. You had a few hard nights but once I realized you needed to cry a 'little' you started sleeping! I thought you would cry for hours, but it seriously was 3 minutes- woohoo! Now like clock work you go down 2 hours after you wake up and three hours after you wake from the first nap you go down again. We now start the bedtime routine at 5:30 and you're out by 6:30. You're a happier baby because of all this. Can I get an AMEN :)
Milestone: Running lol seriously you are crazy and says 'MOM'
Fun Moment: You started making the cutest scrunchy smiley face at everyone, just because you KNOW you're cute:) You feed the dog every meal by leaning over the high chair and putting your hand out. You also love taking the shoes off the shoe rack at the front door. LOTS of fun this month, big changes.
Bad Moment: Fell face first onto a toy at Grandma and Grandpas house and cut your upper lip.
Teeth: You have two top teeth! They came in at the same time.
Feeding: You no longer let me feed you- I now make all your food in muffin tins and you feed yourself, such a big girl. You are a great eater, you eat everything.

9 Months
Height: 26 1/4 inches ( I haven't been to her DR. yet, so Ill know next week)
Weight: 19 lbs
Head: 18.75 inches
Sleeping: I'm beginning to accept the fact that I have a baby that just loves to be awake :) You're great with naps during the day, taking an hour nap in the morning then another nap at lunch- we have been starting bedtime routine at 6pm and you're out by 730 :)
Milestone: WALKING YEAAAAAAAAA
Fun Moment: When Daddy opened the door, coming home from work, and you walked into his arms
Bad Moment: You decided not only nap for 45 minutes- the entire day- it was a long day that day
Teeth: You have two bottom teeth- they came through at the same time!
Feeding: Eating breakfast, lunch and dinner now. So much fun to let you eat pretty much anything, and you love putting the food in your own mouth

Sleeping: Still up every 2-3 hours at night, you're very good during the day with naps. You take a big hour or so nap in the morning, then a nap at lunch for 30minutes- 1 hour and another nap in the afternoon, which is usually 30 minutes. WooHoo!
Milestone: You love holding onto the furniture or anything for that matter and walk around it, you can sometimes stand without us hold you up!
Fun Moment: Very vocal, love listening to you babble "BA BA" or "DA DA" clearly now :)
Bad Moment: You got constipated and we had to go to the doctor :(

7 Months
Height: 26 inches ( got a bad read last month)
Weight: 17.8 lbs

Milestone: Climbs the stairs! very cautious, but can get up them.
Fun Moment: Crawling and chasing her around on the living room floor, in between the table and chairs- she LOVES it.
Bad Moment: None this month :)
Teeth: Still no teeth, but we still love the teething tablets- they seem to help and chewing on anything squish-ey, shin-ey, or cold.
Feeding: BIG eater this month, about 6 oz every 2 hours! You also love all kinds of foods and textures- you can now eat small solid chunks and thicker foods. We have eggs and bacon almost every morning :)

6 Months

I cannot believe another month has flown by! BIG milestones this month with Aubriella, so cute!

6 Months
Height: 26 inches ( got a bad read last month)
Weight: 17.2 lbs
Head: 17 3/4 "
Sleeping: I don't want to jinx it, BUT she is sleeping much better at night. She still wakes up every 2.5-3 hours but only to put her paci back in- doesn't need to eat. She goes down very easy most nights, I think she is used to her routine-YEA mom :)
Milestone: She began crawling AND pulling herself up and standing on things in ONE day. She is MUCH happier now that she can move around freely
Fun Moment: Swimming with her, it is amazing to see their natural ability to kick and blow bubbles at such a young age.
Bad Moment: I was talking with an employee at the local pet food store when she decided to projectile vomit all over me. I am FINALLY to the point where I'm not embarrassed anymore, but I felt bad for the young girl to witness it.
Teeth: Officially teething-loving the Hylands Teething Tablets
Feeding: Eating SO many fun foods. I make her food for her, so I'm having fun too. She's a great eater-blueberries, green beans, squash, chicken, all fruits, peas...the list goes on and on. I feed her something new everyday. Eating formula the same, 6 oz every 3 or so hours.

DIY Swim Instructor Gift

Summer is here and I'm sure most of you are swimming a TON- like us :) Aubriella had the sweetest swim instructor and it made the class so fun. I wanted to do something nice for her, being around a bunch of babies all day is hard lol

This is what I came up with- I found the printable on Pinterest and created my own little treat bag of fish for her-cute right!?

I First printed off these cute pre-made templates and cut them out
Next, I found these basic party bags from Michaels
I added a piece of tape to the back of the printable and attached them to either side of the bag, Once they were where I wanted them- I hot glued the corners on

I forgot to take a before picture, but I just bought two bags of JUJU Fish from Albertson's- it was the perfect amount!
SO cute!, I added a bow to the top of each bag with hot glue- you can do whatever you want! This is the front of the bag.

Here is the back of the bag.

Happy crafting!!!

DIY 20 Week Baby Photo Project

I have been trying to find cute ways to use little baby Aubri's sonogram pictures. If you're anything like us we have tons of these black and white photos all over, we LOVED looking at her in my belly :)

Here is a great way to display one! Most pregnancy's you get a long sonogram appointment between 19-21 weeks, so this project is great for everyone!

20 Weeks, awe! Look at that BIG head :)

20 weeks old :) STILL has a large head

I simply wrote with a sharpie on the frames matting

Steps to DIY 20 Week Baby Picture:

1. Copy 20 week sonogram photo to size you want
2. Take photo of your baby on its side at 20 weeks
3. Find a side by side frame (found mine at Target-of course)
4. Write with sharpie on the matting 20 weeks
5. Put in your frame and hang :)

That's it! Have fun with your project!

DIY Baby Chalkboard Tracker 5 Months!

Time is flying by, doesn't everyone say that? Well, its so true my little tiny baby is growing super fast and I am trying to not miss anything!!!!! So, this month it was HARD to get little miss to NOT have a hand in that mouth :( So, I figured it would be a cute way to document her new favorite activity-chewing on everything!

5 Months
Height: 26.5 "
Weight: 16 lbs
Head: 16.3 "
Sleeping: Same routine as last month, no big changes either. She likes to take a hour and a half to two hour nap every morning, which is a huge blessing! I can get so much done in that time frame :)
Milestone: Sitting up on her own!!! She loves to sit and play with her toys now, its so cute to watch her explore. ANOTHER big milestone is she started solids. I am a big supporter of feeding pure organic, non-processed foods, so she started on Avocado. This did not go so well, so next we tried sweet potato-which she liked!
Fun Moment: Putting her in the park swing. She loved being pushed back and forth while smiling and laughing. We now frequent the park daily.
Bad Moment: None this month, woohoo!!!!!!
Teeth: Not teething yet  thank God :)
Feeding: She is eating about a tsp of sweet potato or pears each morning. Also, I think she is growing because she is eating 4 oz every 2-2.5 oz

June 1, 2013

This father's day is EXTRA special because it is Ryan's first fathers day:) We'll be doing the usual fam bam time this weekend with dinner and shopping but I also wanted to give him a personal gift from Aubriella- this is what I came up with :) Hope he LOVES it!

Step one: Purchase lettering from local craft store, we got ours at Hobby Lobby.

Step two: Put baby is SUPER cute outfit and place somewhere with a neutral background :) We used her light pink rocking chair in her nursery-so she could be propped up

Step three: Take pictures with the 'D' and 'A' the more candid the better!

Step four: Print your pictures out and buy a frame. We did all this at Target- my FAV one stop obsession. Frame found here:Target Frame

I am realizing how fast babies grow, it's true that if you blink you'll miss it! So, I wanted to create a way to keep track of her growing each month. I wish I would have started this when she was born, but better late than never. Here is what I came up with:

4 Months Old
Height: 24"
Weight: 14.14 lbs
Head: 16.3"
Sleeping: Aubriella is sleeping great, for me. We start her bedtime routine at 7 pm which consists of bath, read to her, put her down. Most nights she wakes up again around 12-1am and then falls asleep again until 6 am.
Milestones: Laughs all the time, reaches for her toys and holds her head and arms up when on her tummy. Also, her reflux is under control and manageable, woohoo!
Fun moment: When she first laughed, we have been trying for weeks to get it out of her. It's the cutest thing and now she does it all the time.
Bad moment: Took her shopping on Mother's Day, and she managed to potty through her diaper on her new cute outfit in the store! Thank goodness I packed a change of clothes!
Teeth: No teeth yet, which means no teething either :) She does LOVE to put her hands and everything else in her mouth for now.
Feeding: Still on Similac Alimentum. Her doctor switched her to less food, more often. So I have her eating 1 1/2 oz- 2 oz every 2 hours and she is a happy girl.
