Playgroup Outfit

I love getting Aubriella out around other babies and it gives me a chance to meet some awesome moms too. Today we joined MyGym. Have you herd of them? Its a fitness center with jungle gyms and swings and mats all for babies and kids! So cool! What do you wear to a active play date? My pick is an adorable and comfy navy striped tee with Tan shorts and a fedora- my go to bad hair day look. ...with flats of course. Easy, comfy AND cute!

She didn't really like this thing lol

DIY Baby Chalkboard Tracker 5 Months!

Time is flying by, doesn't everyone say that? Well, its so true my little tiny baby is growing super fast and I am trying to not miss anything!!!!! So, this month it was HARD to get little miss to NOT have a hand in that mouth :( So, I figured it would be a cute way to document her new favorite activity-chewing on everything!

5 Months
Height: 26.5 "

Weight: 16 lbs

Head: 16.3 "

Sleeping: Same routine as last month, no big changes either. She likes to take a hour and a half to two hour nap every morning, which is a huge blessing! I can get so much done in that time frame :)

Milestone: Sitting up on her own!!! She loves to sit and play with her toys now, its so cute to watch her explore. ANOTHER big milestone is she started solids. I am a big supporter of feeding pure organic, non-processed foods, so she started on Avocado. This did not go so well, so next we tried sweet potato-which she liked!

Fun Moment: Putting her in the park swing. She loved being pushed back and forth while smiling and laughing. We now frequent the park daily.

Bad Moment: None this month, woohoo!!!!!!

Teeth: Not teething yet  thank God :)

Feeding: She is eating about a tsp of sweet potato or pears each morning. Also, I think she is growing because she is eating 4 oz every 2-2.5 oz

Post baby workout

I am excited to share my fintess plan, it's worked great for me! I gained 24lbs durning my pregnancy but I didn't lose 24lbs when I delivered! My first week home I lost a lot of weight im thinking due to lack of sleep lol. I was also breastfeeding, which helped. But I still had to lose about 5 lbs...eating right and exercise is my secret!  BORING

I started by setting a goal. Peronally I just wanted to run a mile, then after a week of running that goal became 2, then 3, and so on. Now I am planning on running the Long Beach Marathon in October!

I run EVERY morning. I find this works best for me because otherwise I wont. I am WAY to tired by the end of the day to do it then. I typically run around 7 am, and I try to eat breakfast after I run. I do this so my body would burn my bodies fat, not my food.

After I run, I immeditatly drink a protein shake and usually have an eggwhite and spinach omelet.

I follow my breakfast with snacks every two hours. Anywhere from nuts to hard boiled eggs, fruit or veggies. I sometimes throw in a Luna Bar for a cheat.

Lunch almost always consists of a large salad and dinner is my splerge, with meat and some type of potato or rice  and veggies.

And thats it! It has worked great for me, got me back down to 110 lbs and feeling healthy :)

Our first Father's day was a success! Lots of love and hugs all around. Started off the morning with none other than a called in order of strawberry waffels and an egg white omlet from IHOP- yes we are easily pleased with our food:)

Good morning sunshine :)

Can we talk about the FIRST thing I thought of this morning? Dead serious- What does Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes feel like when they wake up? I mean, I know how I felt this morning after only having ONE glass of wine last night! That combined with my grand total of 4 hours of sleep (TY Aubri) made for a STRUGGLE this morning. I mean I don't know how those girls even manage to move after drinking ALL night...sounds like way too much work if you ask me :)

Praise the Lord for Starbucks!

On a happier note, us function members of society get to enjoy the beautiful day today- because we are not in bed all day hung over:) woohoo! Hope you have a FAB Monday!!!

Weekend Recap!

I can't believe how fast this weekend flew by! We had a whole lot scheduled this weekend...
On Saturday ALL 3 of us completed the UCSD Triton 5k, Aubriella did fantastic! She completed her first race:) The race was a total of 3.2 miles. Ryan ran with the stroller, so he was a little behind me in time, but over all I ran a 7:50 pace. (which is a personal record for me! woohoo!) My favorite way to spend family time-being active!

Alisha: running shirt Kohls, shorts kohls, shoes Nike
Ryan: shirt Nike, jacket Asics, shoes Asics

We rocked it!
